"Breakage, whatever its cause, is the dark complement to the act of making;
the one implies the other. The thing that is broken has
particular authority over the act of change." - Louise Gluck
I deeply appreciate the thoughtful and thought-provoking comments you've been leaving on the last few posts. I'm afraid there's going to be a bit of a delay before I post again because my computer needs to go in for repair. (It's my own damn fault. I spilled coffee on it.) But I'll be back just as soon as I can....and in the meantime, please continue commenting and talking amongst yourselves. The feedback has been truly lovely.

p.s. Don't miss Rima Staines' new blog post full of magical stories about, and winter pictures of, the enchanted village that we both call home. (Including a picture of Howard & Rima with accordions on Solstice night). Also, Rima's new Baba Yaga painting is a delight. You'll find it all at The Hermitage.
